GreenAcres was recently featured on our very own KSHB-TV, Action News! Follow the link below to see the clip! The subject of the story was the body’s adjustment to all this sustained heat. As the temperatures soar, our bodies are less likely to crave heavy carbs or warm creamy soups, and more likely to ask for things like fresh produce or cool juices. Assistant manager Kasey Rausch explains that natural coolers, like peppermint iced tea, fresh juicy cantaloupe or other melons, fresh peaches, or coconut water can not just help to cool you down, but can replenish some much-needed nutrients and electrolytes.
Next time you’re in, just ask any associate and they’ll be able to point you in the direction of these life-saving, heat-busting items in the store. You can also enjoy a handmade smoothie or fresh pressed juice from the deli, or try any of our cool and delicious salads from the deli cold case!
