This month we are featuring PGX as one of our most popular and most effective weight loss aids. In order to make this a little more fun for all of us, and give you a real-time sense of what PGX can do for you, we've chosen a guinea pig at each location that is trying the PGX diet and letting us know how it works for them. But first, a bit about what PGX is, and how it works:
PGX is a proprietary blend of water-soluble plant fibers. That doesn't sound too complex, right? So how could it possibly work? Well, it is the simplicity of PGX that makes it most powerful. The key to using PGX for weight loss or weight management is what it does to regulate blood sugar levels in your body. Becuase of its slow viscosity rate, the fiber, mixed with your food intake, and digestive acids and enzymes, stay in your digestive tract longer, giving your body the impression of a greater volume of food, and limiting your drop in blood sugar as well as pesky cravings. If you take PGX before a meal, you'll feel more satiated, and want to eat less; and your meal will last longer and make you less prone to hunger pangs and food cravings.
PGX comes in a softgel that you take 20-40 minutes before meals, or in granules that you simply mix in with your food.
That's it, in a nutshell. To learn more about PGX straight from the horse's mouth, visit their webpage.

So let's get to our guinea pigs. Kansas City's guinea pig is Annie. Read her first couple of journal entries on how PGX is treating her so far:
Day 1—Okay, the holidays are officially over and today I am starting on PGX. Had it mixed in with yogurt this morning with berries and granola. Don’t really notice it. Tried it in a drink around noon, but is too grainy. Really much better over food. Does seem to make me feel fuller. My emphasis with this is definitely weight loss. But am faced with a really big challenge of taking it while on a cruise in a week. We’ll see how that goes.
Day 4—Weighed myself this morning and am 2 lbs down!!!! Woo-hoo. Do feel much fuller throughout the day, but not uncomfortable. If I start to feel a bit bloated, I know that I need to drink more water. But I normally drink water throughout the day, so no big deal. Leaving tomorrow for my week-long cruise. Hope my experience doesn’t give PGX a “bad name!!!!” J
Thanks, Annie! Good luck! We can't wait to see what the next chapter will be in your weight loss story!
