By now, youâve probably either heard of Bulletproof Coffee, or youâve become curious about how it benefits you. We’ve posted several times on our GreenAcres Facebook pages about what makes Bulletproof Coffee so good and so unique. Besides great Bulletproof Coffee beans, the company offers two different MCT oils: XCT and Brain Octane.
There are many MCT oils on the market, and the one we’re going to delve into today is Nature’s Way MCT Oil, extracted from coconut oil, and like the Bulletproof oils, a medium chain triglyceride, actually a form of saturated fatty acid, that new science shows has numerous health benefits.
Coffee drinkers pour some form of MCT oil or butter from grass-fed cows into their morning coffee and stir up what looks like a creamy latte. Tastes delicious! But if you’re not a coffee drinker, you can squirt some on your freshly-popped popcorn or stir it into a smoothie. Any and all ways, it tastes great and enhances your health.
Delving into the science of MCT oil and how it works, I came across an online newletter by Josh Axe, who writes on myriad subjects affecting health, under the blog name Dr.Axe.
Hereâs what he has to say about MCT oil:
âCoconut oil is one great source of MCTs â roughly 62â65 percent of the fatty acids in coconut oil are MCTs â but recently more concentrated MCT oils have also been growing in popularity.
âMCTs are believed to be largely missing from the diets of people eating âstandard Westernâ diets, most likely because the public has been led to believe that all forms of saturated fats are potentially harmful. However, recently research has shown a lot of evidence about the real truth regarding saturated fats.
âWe now know that ideally MCT oils like coconut oil should actually be consumed every day. Certain saturated fats, especially MCTs and other healthy fats found in things like coconut oil or grass-fed beef, are in fact easier to digest than long-chain triglycerides (LCTs) and might even have more benefits related to heart health, obesity prevention and brain health, too.
âIn fact, traditional populations living in tropical areas have been consuming saturated fats, including sources of MCTs like coconuts, for thousands of years without any ill effects â so consider the idea that a low-fat diet is âhealthyâ to be one of the biggest nutrition lies there ever was! Since there is a wide range of slot types, depending on the number of reels, paylines, and many other functions, the rules are different. The goal of the game is to pick up the characters that appear on the paylines. A payline is a straight or diagonal line that crosses the reels, including one symbol on each reel that forms a combination. https://casinobonusesfinder.ca/online-casinos/grand-mondial-casino If the symbols for the winning combination are highlighted, the player wins the money. Of course, with the advent of jokers, scatters and bonus games, online slots offer more than one way to form a winning combination.
âAside from coconut oil, smaller amounts of MCTs can also be found in certain other foods with saturated fats including butter (especially butter from grass-fed cows), cheeses, palm oil, whole milk and full-fat yogurt.â
Dr. Axe (at left) goes on to explain what makes MCT oil so special. It helps you to:
