Triple digit temps call for more than just water

Most of GreenAcres customers are familiar with Orgain’s tasty meal-replacement shakes, the ones with 16 grams of organic protein blended from both fruits and veggies, containing 23 vitamins and minerals.

Lynette Frisbie, our Central Grocery Buyer, usually has one a day, and she says they save her from munching snacks and samples that appear daily in her office for “the tasting crew” to try. (We can’t bring in the groceries, if we haven’t tasted and approved the product. We know, tough job, but someone’s got to do it!)

Well, Orgain has a new idea, that to many of us, is simply genius.

Doctor-developed Organic Hydration Powder is just what the “thirsty” athlete, senior…well just about anyone…needs to stay fully hydrated during hot summer months and beyond.

We’ve all learned that even better than water to restore the body’s natural fluid supply, is coconut water with all those wonderful electrolytes that give instant energy and a feeling of vitality to over-stressed, over-heated and over-taxed bodies.

Organic Hydration Powder does the same thing. It comes in four delicious flavors and mixes easily into a morning or afternoon drink or smoothie. There’s Berry Punch, Coconut, Lemon Ice and Orange. Just choose your flavor and blend it up.

Coconut seems to be a favorite among those who love the taste of the liquid coming from young coconuts. It’s the first USDA Hydration Powder to be made with organic coconut water, and it’s:

  • Made with food-based B vitamins (not synthetic vitamins or minerals)
  • Completely plant-based
  • Gluten free
  • Soy free
  • Non-GMO

Just mix and shake the Hydration Powder in water, and you’re good to go. But some of our customers have come up with a few ways to gild the lily, as they say.

Try mixing Hydration Powder into organic pineapple juice and a touch of coconut milk for creaminess. Or toss a banana and chunks of pineapple into a blender to give your smoothie extra punch.

During the month of July, a 7.5 oz of Hydration Powder is on sale for $12.49.

The Midwest is not going to cool down anytime soon. Now just might be the perfect time to give it a try!
